Sounds like a premier travel experience.

I couldn't agree more.

I couldn't agree more. About 4 years ago I was lucky enough to travel with the family to my dad's hometown of Aarhus, Denmark. All my life I've been told stories about what life was like in Denmark in the 40's and 50's, and it's hard to put into words what it feels like to walk past the apartment where your father was born, into his old grammar school, onto the soccer fields where he spent the majority of his childhood, past the upholstery factory where my grandfather worked for so many years, and over to the church where my aunt was married. But the best part of all was seeing how happy my dad was to be back home.

Steve, Yes, it is

Steve, Yes, it is incredible what a difference it makes when you see a new place through someone elses eyes. Specially if is someone you love and care about. I am very fortunate. :)

I know what you mean. I

I know what you mean. I recently had cause to bring to mind the times that my parents shared with my brother, my sister and me stories of where they were born and raised. Granted their hometowns of Ft. Thomas and Pikeville, Kentucky were no Naples, they were, after seeing them through their eyes, two of the most fascinating places in the world.
